Help yourself from Despair

We all go through that phase, where we are so desperate! It could be personal or professional.
A mom of twins with no help and a busy husband may feel it when she’s completely exhausted and the kids are all set for the excitement.

A manager under high pressure may feel it especially when his team fails to perform!

A teacher may feel it when the children fail to perform despite the additional efforts taken.

So how do you handle it?

It is very difficult to handle your emotions when you are already in a difficult situation. More than often, we tend to curse the situations we fall into and people around us who may be even trying to help us out. That’s not going to help us at all. Instead of worrying over the situation, try to analyze what caused the situation and how to get out of it.

The cause may lead us to a solution too. If it doesn’t, leave it and concentrate on a possible solution. Don’t take a drastic decision and get into trouble again. Take time to think, but it should not be forever thinking and not getting anywhere!

Take a break. It might help you get a fresh perspective on the whole issue. Talk to someone who may be able to help you. But don’t expect them to come up with an immediate solution. Talking will definitely help you relax to some extent.

If someone offers a solution, don’t shut them down without listening. Hear the idea out first. You may get some solution out of it.

You are not God! So mistakes happen! It is normal. Learn from the mistakes and gear up for life. Concentrate on finding solutions rather than getting desperate over it.
Try meditation! It helps relax your mind. It helps concentrate better on thinking positive. That means a possible solution.

If you think crying will help, vent it out. One you are able to get over the grief, your mind may get clear and let you think rationally.

Failure or exhaustion must not get you into despair. There are worse situations in life and every situation has some solution too. It might take one longer to find the solution but it will come to light sooner or later. You must not lose hope. Just keep going strong. Success or solution might be just around the corner! Remember one ray of light is enough to keep the darkness away. So keep looking out for that source of light. The solution to your problems that can help you overcome your difficulties.
